WHAT IS TIME ROUNDING?

Time rounding is time unit that supplier uses to round up time when you use phone call. Normally, time rounding is 1-minute increment. For example, you call 5 minutes and 20 seconds. The system will count as 6 minutes. If the card indicates 3 minutes rounding, it means that if you call 1 minute and 20 seconds, it will count 3 minutes. So, you will save money if your call time minute is divisible by 3. Also, if you call for a long time, you will save more money than other calling cards that have more rates.

As a rule, for the countries listed, you may use from almost any touch-tone phone. There are no guarantees. In some countries certain hotels may have a small surcharge on free phone access. (Some hotels may bar the access number, although this rarely happens). It is thought that approx 90% of all touch-tone phones for the listed countries will work. Nearly all phone cards calls originated from a payphone card are charged a fee per call. Federal law requires this and the fee ranges typically from $0.35 to $0.65 per call. This goes to pay UNCLE SAM or the owner of the payphone. This amount id deducted in minutes from the card. If your cellular or mobile phone company allows you to call from your mobile phone, there may be a charge per call fee. Some cellular phone contracts do not allow the use of alternate carriers like phone cards.
 

WHAT IF I MAKE A CALL AND NO ONE ANSWERS? WILL I HAVE TO PAY THE CONNECTION FEE?

As long as the call isn't answered, then you don't pay the connection fee. If you dial a wrong number, or the call is answered by an answering machine or voice mail, then you will be charged for the connection fee.

The rate for different areas varies. For example, calls to Manila is $0.07, but calls to mobile phones in Manila have a rate of $0.10, calls to Vietnam may have a rate of $0.09. The minutes left on the card is calculated after you finish dialing your destination number.

Many phone cards have an expiry date. Normally this begins the first time the card is used. You can call up to the value available on the phone card until you reach the cut off date.
